Hoodilidoo Five Festival: Grand Junction, MI: June 14-16th

"In a time of corporate commercial holidays Hoodilidoo serves as a beacon of true spiritual connection for all the disenfranchised hoards of people who feel left behind by traditional spiritual systems.
For one weekend a year we gather to celebrate our soul connection. We gather to give praise to the wonder of life and mother earth. We gather to shine a light to the rest of the world and show that love can light the way. We gather at our sacred ground The Willow Ranch to feel it's magick earth beneath our feet, and to marvel at the sheltering sky above us as we celebrate a new spiritual tradition. We gather, all as one to celebrate Hoodilidoo. Our one true holiday."

Portugal The Man x NEW ALBUM

Porutgal, The Man, is by far on the greatest groove-grime-funk-feel good music I've heard in a long time. (Barring, the Revivalists...love those guys). This new album grabs you from track one and leaves you wondering why you're still dancing even when the music stops! Can't wait to hear what you guys think about this album!

Get it on iTunes. Listen to it on Grooveshark.

Friday

Violet Machine: The Starlight Demo

"Violet Machine is a Brooklyn-based, indie rock/post punk band. With Rob Majors on vocals and guitar, Chris on guitar, Carrie on bass and Alex on drums, this four-piece delivers a dark, moody sound with an edge, with hook driven guitar riffs, driving bass and dark lyrics.

Their music draws comparison to the late-70's post punk movement, as well as the post punk revival of the early 2000s."

You can pick up the EP and "name your price" at The Violet Machine Bandcamp Page

Kate Rogers Band: Helicopter Hangar Jam Session

Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, it was family that drew her over to the UK, where she got her musical start as a regular featured voice on the street-wise Northern Soul label Grand Central Records - earning her name singing with the likes of Aim, Rae and Christian and Jon Kennedy, and eventually penning her own solo debut 'St Eustacia'.

Now, with three more celebrated solo releases and countless more stints singing for artists like The Great Bloomers, The Coast, Sunparlour Players, Jory Nash, Party Wizard it's time to move forward for Kate and her band.

Dispatch x Live Release x "Ain't No Trip To Cleveland"

Being one of the biggest State Radio fans, my subsequent discovery of Dispatch's "Piano Man" cover blew my mind! I followed them for some time before meeting the proverbial fork in the road, and splitting ways with this amazing band for about 7 months. I tuned in a little while ago, and found the love again, and a few months later, I was rewarded with this amazing album. This will dominate my ear-buds for probably the entire summer. We will be catching with Chad and the guys at our earliest convenience, but you should check them out for yourself! Check out Dispatch on The Indie Leak, on Facebook, and check out the new album on Grooveshark!

Friday

Awesome Banjo Cover of Daft Punk

Stumbling around YouTube at 4 am, we find Charles Butler. Awesomeness in the flesh. Watch this guy shred a guitar like it's nobody's business.

"She's up all night til the sun, I'm all night to get some, She's up all night to have fun, I'm up all night to get lucky"

Wednesday

The OLMs Tour: Pete York & J.D. King

“The album has an old-sounding feel, but I feel like it still sounds really fresh,” Pete Yorn says. “It sounds uniquely like us and a hybrid of our influences, from my love of Brit-pop and groups like The Beach Boys and The Kinks, to J.D.’s love for British Invasion bands like The Animals, as well as bluegrass and country music.”

The album comes out June 4th. Be READY!

Tour dates and other information can be found here.
